The APEX AMMO TB3-20BB 12 Gauge 3" 2 oz BB is a high-performance turkey hunting load designed to deliver dense patterns and reliable knockdown power at extended ranges. This 3-inch magnum shell is loaded with a full 2-ounce payload of BB shot, making it an excellent choice for serious turkey hunters who want maximum pellet count without stepping up to a 3.5-inch shell. Manufactured by Apex Ammo, this load combines premium components with proven ballistics to give hunters the confidence they need when that big gobbler steps into range.
Why Choose APEX AMMO TB3-20BB 12 Gauge Turkey Loads?
The APEX AMMO TB3-20BB offers an outstanding balance of power and shootability for turkey hunters. While 3.5-inch shells provide maximum payload, many hunters prefer the slightly lower recoil and improved pattern consistency of a quality 3-inch load. The TB3-20BB delivers a heavy 2-ounce shot charge of BB pellets, providing excellent pattern density and penetration on tough gobblers. BB shot size is a popular choice among turkey hunters because it offers a great combination of pellet count and terminal performance at typical turkey hunting distances. Apex Ammo loads these shells with high-quality powder, reliable primers, and precision wads to ensure consistent velocities and tight patterns shot after shot.

Performance and Ballistics
The APEX AMMO TB3-20BB is engineered to provide excellent terminal performance on wild turkeys. The 2-ounce payload of BB shot delivers a high pellet count, resulting in dense, even patterns that increase the probability of a clean, ethical kill. BB shot offers good penetration through heavy feathers while maintaining enough pellets in the pattern for head and neck shots at typical turkey hunting distances.
This 3-inch load is an excellent choice for hunters who want powerful performance without the heavier recoil associated with 3.5-inch magnum shells. It performs exceptionally well in both semi-automatic and pump-action shotguns and pairs nicely with aftermarket turkey chokes. The consistent velocities and reliable feeding make the TB3-20BB a trusted option for both spring and fall turkey seasons. Whether you’re hunting in thick timber or open fields, this load provides the pattern density and energy needed to take down mature gobblers with confidence.
