Performance and Ballistics
The APEX AMMO TB35-BBB is built to deliver devastating performance on turkeys. The heavy 2.5-ounce payload of BBB shot provides an extremely high pellet count, resulting in dense patterns that increase the chances of a clean, ethical kill. The 3.5-inch shell length allows for a larger powder charge, which translates into higher muzzle velocity and greater downrange energy compared to standard 3-inch loads.
This ammunition excels at longer ranges where many standard turkey loads begin to lose effectiveness. The BBB shot size offers excellent penetration through thick feathers and bone while still maintaining a tight enough pattern for head and neck shots. Hunters report excellent results with these loads in both semi-automatic and pump-action shotguns. The consistent velocities and reliable feeding make the TB35-BBB a trusted choice for both spring turkey seasons and fall hunting. Whether you’re using a dedicated turkey gun with an extended choke or a versatile all-purpose shotgun, this load provides the power and pattern quality needed to take down mature gobblers with confidence.
