The Athlon Optics Midas HMR 4-24x50 is a high-performance second focal plane illuminated rifle scope built for serious hunters and long-range shooters who demand versatility, precision, and reliability. This model (213058) features a powerful 4-24x magnification range paired with a large 50mm objective lens and the illuminated AHMC1 MOA reticle. Designed to excel in both hunting and precision shooting applications, the Midas HMR delivers outstanding optical clarity, intuitive reticle design, and rugged construction that performs in the most demanding conditions.
Powerful 4-24x Magnification Range
The 4-24x magnification range of the Midas HMR provides exceptional versatility for long-range hunting and precision shooting. At lower magnifications, the scope offers a usable field of view for locating game and quick target acquisition. As magnification increases to 24x, shooters gain the precision needed for accurate shot placement at extended distances. This wide zoom range makes the Midas HMR an excellent choice for western hunting, open-country pursuits, and long-range target shooting where both close and distant targets may be encountered.
Illuminated AHMC1 SFP MOA Reticle
The Midas HMR is equipped with the illuminated AHMC1 reticle in the second focal plane. The AHMC1 is a well-designed MOA-based reticle featuring precise hash marks for elevation and windage corrections, allowing shooters to make accurate holdovers without constantly dialing turrets. Because the reticle is located in the second focal plane, it remains the same size throughout the magnification range, providing a clean and consistent sight picture at all power settings. The red illumination offers multiple brightness levels, ensuring excellent visibility during low-light conditions such as dawn, dusk, and heavily shaded environments.
50mm Objective Lens for Superior Light Transmission
The large 50mm objective lens maximizes light gathering capability, delivering bright and clear images even in challenging low-light conditions. Combined with Athlon’s advanced fully multi-coated lenses, the Midas HMR provides excellent light transmission, high contrast, and sharp resolution across the entire magnification range. This makes the scope particularly effective for early morning and late evening hunts when game is most active.
