Featuring the advanced illuminated APLR-H2 MOA reticle, this model (215021) offers an impressive 6-24x magnification range paired with a 50mm objective lens for outstanding clarity and light transmission at extended distances. Designed for serious long-range applications, the Talos HMR provides the magnification, reticle sophistication, and durability needed for ethical shots on big game at distance, as well as precision target shooting. The illuminated APLR-H2 reticle delivers fine hold points and windage references, making it an excellent choice for shooters who demand both precision and usability in varying light conditions.

High-Magnification 6-24x Range

The 6-24x magnification range makes the Talos HMR ideal for long-range shooting. At lower magnifications, the scope offers a usable field of view for locating targets, while the upper end of the magnification provides the detail required for precise shot placement at extended ranges. This wide magnification range allows hunters and shooters to engage targets from mid-range out to several hundred yards with confidence, making it a versatile optic for open-country hunting, varmint control, and long-range target shooting.

Illuminated APLR-H2 SFP MOA Reticle

The APLR-H2 is Athlon’s Advanced Precision Long Range reticle, featuring a detailed MOA-based grid with fine hash marks for precise holdovers and windage corrections. Located in the second focal plane, the reticle maintains a constant size throughout the magnification range, providing a consistent aiming point at any power. The illumination feature offers multiple brightness settings, ensuring the reticle remains visible in low-light conditions without overpowering the target image. This combination of a sophisticated reticle and illumination makes the Talos HMR highly effective for long-range precision in both daylight and low-light environments.

Why Choose the Athlon Talos HMR 6-24x50mm Illuminated APLR-H2?

Athlon Optics has developed the Talos HMR series to deliver high performance at an accessible price point. The 215021 model stands out with its high 6-24x magnification and the sophisticated illuminated APLR-H2 reticle, making it one of the more advanced options in the Talos lineup. The APLR-H2 reticle provides detailed MOA hold points that allow shooters to make precise adjustments for distance and wind without constantly dialing turrets. The illumination feature ensures the reticle remains visible in low-light conditions, giving hunters a critical advantage during the early morning and late evening hours. Combined with the large 50mm objective lens and fully multi-coated optics, this scope delivers bright, clear images even at high magnification. For long-range hunters and precision shooters looking for a feature-rich, illuminated optic with excellent value, the Athlon Talos HMR 6-24x50mm APLR-H2 is a strong contender.

Long-Range Precision and Clarity

At higher magnifications, optical clarity becomes critical. The Talos HMR 6-24x50mm is equipped with fully multi-coated lenses that maximize light transmission and minimize chromatic aberration, delivering sharp, high-contrast images even at 24x. This level of clarity allows shooters to identify targets and make precise shot placements at extended ranges.

Durability and Reliability

Built with a single-piece tube construction, the Talos HMR is designed to withstand heavy recoil and harsh field conditions. It is nitrogen purged and O-ring sealed to ensure it remains waterproof and fogproof in all weather. The illuminated reticle is powered by a standard battery with multiple brightness settings, providing reliable performance when you need it most.

Precision for Serious Shooters

The combination of the APLR-H2 reticle and high magnification makes this scope particularly well-suited for shooters who engage targets at longer distances. The fine hold points allow for accurate compensation for bullet drop and wind drift, while the illumination ensures the reticle is always visible against dark or shaded backgrounds.
