Athlon Ares ETR Gen2 1-10x24 34mm ATMR2 FFP IR MOA Rifle Scope 212109J (UPC 813869025820)

The Athlon Ares ETR Gen2 1-10x24 34mm ATMR2 FFP IR MOA Rifle Scope 212109J (UPC 813869025820) is a high-performance, first focal plane low-power variable optic designed for shooters who demand versatility, precision, and reliability. This second-generation Ares ETR combines an ultra-wide 1-10x magnification range with a large 34mm tube, making it an outstanding choice for tactical applications, 3-Gun competition, close-quarters battle, and medium-range engagements. With its illuminated ATMR2 reticle and premium optical system, the Ares ETR Gen2 delivers exceptional clarity and speed across its entire magnification range.

Built for serious shooters, the Athlon Ares ETR Gen2 1-10x24 offers the perfect balance between a true 1x red dot-like performance at the low end and powerful 10x magnification for precise shots at distance. The first focal plane (FFP) ATMR2 reticle ensures that holdovers and ranging remain accurate at any magnification, while the illuminated reticle provides excellent visibility in low-light conditions. Whether you’re engaging targets at 10 yards or stretching out to several hundred yards, this scope provides the speed and precision needed to dominate the competition or defend your home.

Wide 1-10x Magnification Range

The Athlon Ares ETR Gen2 features an impressive 1-10x magnification range, giving shooters unmatched versatility in a single optic. At 1x, the scope provides a true, distortion-free sight picture with an exceptionally wide field of view, allowing for rapid target acquisition similar to a red dot sight. As you zoom up to 10x, the scope delivers crisp, high-resolution images suitable for precise shot placement at extended ranges.

This broad magnification range makes the Ares ETR Gen2 ideal for dynamic shooting disciplines such as 3-Gun, USPSA Multi-Gun, and tactical competitions where targets can appear at varying distances. It also serves as an excellent all-purpose optic for hunting, home defense, and general range use.

First Focal Plane ATMR2 Reticle

The Athlon Ares ETR Gen2 is equipped with the ATMR2 first focal plane reticle. Because the reticle is located in the first focal plane, its size scales with the magnification. This means that all hold points, ranging marks, and windage references remain accurate at every magnification setting. The ATMR2 reticle features a clean, intuitive design with a bright illuminated center dot surrounded by precise MOA-based hash marks, making it highly effective for both close-range speed shooting and long-range precision.

The illuminated reticle offers multiple brightness settings, allowing shooters to quickly adjust the intensity to match ambient lighting conditions. In bright daylight, the reticle remains visible, while in low-light environments, the illumination provides excellent contrast against dark targets.

34mm Tube for Superior Light Transmission

The Ares ETR Gen2 utilizes a large 34mm main tube, which allows for greater light transmission and a wider range of elevation and windage adjustment compared to traditional 30mm or 1-inch tubes. This larger tube diameter contributes to the scope’s excellent low-light performance and provides the internal adjustment range needed for long-range shooting with heavy-hitting calibers.

Combined with Athlon’s advanced fully multi-coated lenses, the 34mm tube helps deliver bright, clear images with excellent color fidelity and edge-to-edge sharpness throughout the entire magnification range.

Built for Durability and Reliability

The Athlon Ares ETR Gen2 is constructed to withstand the harshest conditions. It is waterproof, fog proof, and shockproof, ensuring reliable performance in rain, snow, extreme temperatures, and heavy recoil. The robust 34mm tube is machined from a single piece of aircraft-grade aluminum, providing exceptional strength while keeping weight manageable at just 23.8 ounces.

Athlon’s attention to detail extends to the tactile and audible turrets, which provide precise, repeatable adjustments. The locking turrets help prevent accidental movement during transport or use, while still allowing quick and easy adjustments when needed.
