The Athlon Ares ETR Gen2 4.5-30x56 34mm APLR12 FFP IR MOA Rifle Scope 212113J (UPC 813869025790) is a premium long-range optic engineered for precision shooters who demand exceptional clarity, reliable tracking, and advanced features. As part of Athlon’s second-generation Ares ETR series, this high-magnification scope combines a versatile 4.5-30x zoom range with a massive 56mm objective lens and a robust 34mm tube, delivering outstanding performance for long-range competition, precision rifle shooting, and extended-range hunting. Equipped with the illuminated APLR12 first focal plane reticle, this scope provides precise MOA-based holdovers that remain accurate at every magnification setting.

Designed for serious marksmen, the Athlon Ares ETR Gen2 4.5-30x56 offers the perfect combination of optical excellence and mechanical precision. Whether you’re competing in PRS (Precision Rifle Series) matches, engaging targets at extreme distances, or hunting in open terrain, this scope provides the magnification, reticle detail, and durability required to consistently hit your mark. The illuminated APLR12 reticle enhances visibility in low-light conditions while maintaining a clean, intuitive layout for fast target acquisition and precise adjustments.

Powerful 4.5-30x Magnification Range

The Athlon Ares ETR Gen2 features a wide 4.5-30x magnification range, giving shooters the flexibility to engage targets from mid-range out to extreme distances. At lower magnifications, the scope provides a generous field of view for quick target location, while the upper end of the magnification range delivers the detail needed for precise shot placement at 1,000 yards and beyond. This broad zoom range makes the scope highly versatile for both competition and field use.

The large 56mm objective lens maximizes light gathering capability, ensuring bright, clear images even during dawn and dusk hours when many long-range shooting opportunities occur. Combined with Athlon’s advanced fully multi-coated lenses, this scope delivers exceptional resolution, color fidelity, and edge-to-edge sharpness across the entire magnification range.

First Focal Plane APLR12 Reticle

The Athlon Ares ETR Gen2 is equipped with the APLR12 first focal plane reticle. Because the reticle is located in the first focal plane, its size scales proportionally with the magnification. This ensures that all MOA hold points, ranging marks, and windage references remain accurate at every power setting. The APLR12 reticle features a clean, intuitive design with a fine center crosshair and precise MOA-based hash marks, making it highly effective for long-range precision shooting and dialing corrections.

The illuminated reticle offers multiple brightness settings, allowing shooters to quickly adjust the intensity to match ambient lighting conditions. In bright daylight, the reticle remains visible, while in low-light environments, the illumination provides excellent contrast against dark targets or backgrounds.

34mm Tube and Superior Optical Performance

The Ares ETR Gen2 utilizes a large 34mm main tube, which allows for greater light transmission and a significantly wider range of elevation and windage adjustment compared to smaller diameter tubes. This is especially important for long-range shooting, where shooters often need substantial adjustment travel to compensate for bullet drop at extended distances.

Athlon’s advanced lens coatings and high-quality glass deliver bright, high-contrast images with minimal chromatic aberration. The 56mm objective lens further enhances low-light performance, giving shooters a clear advantage during early morning or late evening shooting sessions.

Built for Long-Range Precision and Durability

The Athlon Ares ETR Gen2 is constructed to meet the demanding requirements of precision rifle competitors and long-range shooters. It is waterproof, fog proof, and shockproof, ensuring reliable performance in extreme weather conditions and under heavy recoil. The robust 34mm tube is machined from a single piece of aircraft-grade aluminum, providing exceptional strength and structural integrity.

The scope features precision-machined, tactical-style turrets with audible and tactile clicks for accurate and repeatable adjustments. Locking turrets help prevent accidental movement during transport or field use, while still allowing quick and precise dialing when needed. The zero-stop feature allows shooters to quickly return to their zero after making elevation adjustments.
