Barrett MRAD Covert .308 Win 17" FDE with Backpack 20170 (UPC 810021512433)

The Barrett MRAD Covert .308 Win 17" FDE with Backpack 20170 (UPC 810021512433) is a premium, highly portable precision rifle designed for operators and long-range shooters who require maximum performance in a compact, discreet package. As part of Barrett’s elite Multi-Role Adaptive Design (MRAD) platform, the Covert model features a shortened 17-inch barrel and comes complete with a custom backpack for secure and convenient transport. Finished in Flat Dark Earth (FDE), this rifle maintains the legendary accuracy, modularity, and durability that Barrett is known for while offering a significantly reduced footprint compared to standard MRAD models. Chambered in .308 Winchester and supplied with a 10-round magazine, the MRAD Covert is suppressor-ready and built for missions where both precision and portability are essential.

Barrett has long been recognized as a leader in high-end precision rifle systems, and the MRAD Covert with included backpack represents the perfect fusion of cutting-edge engineering and real-world practicality.

Compact Design with Full MRAD Capability

The MRAD Covert is specifically engineered for scenarios where a full-length precision rifle is impractical. The 17-inch barrel dramatically reduces the overall length of the rifle, making it much easier to transport and deploy in vehicles, aircraft, or urban environments. Despite its compact size, the rifle retains the full modularity of the MRAD platform, allowing users to quickly change barrels, stocks, and other components as mission requirements change. The included custom backpack provides discreet and protected transport, making this package ideal for professionals who need to move with their rifle without drawing attention.

Suppressor-Ready and Highly Modular

The Barrett MRAD Covert is designed from the ground up for suppressed use. The 17-inch barrel is threaded, allowing users to mount a wide variety of suppressors for reduced signature and improved shooter comfort. The MRAD platform’s modular design enables rapid reconfiguration, including barrel changes and stock adjustments, without the need for specialized tools. The folding stock further enhances portability, allowing the rifle to be stored and transported in a much smaller space while remaining ready for immediate deployment.

Premium FDE Finish

This model features a professional Flat Dark Earth (FDE) finish that provides excellent corrosion resistance while offering a low-visibility appearance in various environments. The FDE color scheme is popular among tactical professionals and precision shooters who operate in desert, arid, or mixed terrain environments. Combined with the included custom backpack, the rifle maintains a discreet profile during transport.
