The Barrett REC10 DMR 6.5 Creedmoor 16" Barrel 20rd Black 18828-BRT (UPC 810021512518) is a high-performance, semi-automatic designated marksman rifle built by Barrett, one of the most respected names in precision firearms. Chambered in the highly effective 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge, this REC10 DMR model combines Barrett’s legendary engineering with modern AR-10 platform features to deliver exceptional accuracy, reliability, and long-range capability. Designed for tactical operators, precision shooters, and serious long-range enthusiasts, the REC10 DMR offers a perfect balance of power, controllability, and rapid follow-up shots in a compact 16-inch barrel configuration.

Barrett is world-renowned for producing some of the most accurate and durable rifles on the market. The REC10 DMR continues this tradition by offering a purpose-built platform optimized for the 6.5 Creedmoor, a cartridge known for its excellent ballistic coefficient, flat trajectory, and superior long-range performance.

16-Inch Barrel and 6.5 Creedmoor Performance

The REC10 DMR is equipped with a 16-inch barrel chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, providing an excellent combination of maneuverability and ballistic performance. The shorter barrel makes the rifle more compact and easier to handle in dynamic environments compared to longer-barreled precision rifles, while still maintaining impressive velocity and accuracy at extended ranges. The 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge excels at long-range shooting, offering less wind drift and better energy retention than many traditional .308 Winchester loads. This makes the REC10 DMR an outstanding choice for precision rifle competitions, tactical applications, and long-range hunting.

AR-10 Platform and Reliability

Built on a robust AR-10 platform, the Barrett REC10 DMR offers the familiarity and modularity that many shooters prefer. The rifle features a reliable direct impingement or gas-operated system (depending on exact configuration) designed to function consistently even under harsh conditions. The 20-round magazine capacity provides ample firepower for sustained engagements or competition stages. Barrett’s attention to detail in the bolt carrier group, barrel extension, and overall fit and finish ensures that this rifle delivers the level of reliability and accuracy expected from the Barrett name.

The black finish provides a professional, non-reflective appearance suitable for both tactical and recreational use while offering protection against the elements.
