The Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed HD (Model 036142298) is a high-performance, suppressor-ready bolt-action rifle engineered for serious long-range hunters. Chambered in the modern and powerful 7 PRC (Precision Rifle Cartridge) and featuring a 24-inch threaded barrel with a durable Bronze/Grey finish and Bronze Camo composite stock, this rifle combines speed, accuracy, and cutting-edge features in one premium package. The X-Bolt 2 Speed HD is built for hunters who demand lightweight handling, exceptional long-range performance, and the ability to run a suppressor without any modifications.
Suppressor Ready Design
The X-Bolt 2 Speed HD comes suppressor-ready straight from the factory. The 24-inch barrel is threaded (5/8x24) to accept a wide variety of popular suppressors. This allows hunters to easily add a suppressor for reduced recoil, lower noise signature, and decreased muzzle flash without any additional gunsmithing. The suppressor-ready configuration makes this rifle an excellent choice for ethical hunting and extended range sessions where noise reduction and recoil management are priorities.
The Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed HD delivers modern long-range performance in 7 PRC with a 24-inch suppressor-ready barrel and rugged Bronze/Grey with Bronze Camo finish.
7 PRC Long-Range Performance
The 7 PRC is a modern, high-performance cartridge designed specifically for long-range precision and big game hunting. It offers higher velocity and better long-range energy retention than many traditional magnum cartridges while producing less recoil than larger calibers. The 7 PRC excels at pushing heavy-for-caliber bullets at high speeds, delivering flat trajectories, excellent wind resistance, and devastating terminal performance on medium to large game such as elk, moose, caribou, and deer at extended ranges.
24-Inch Suppressor Ready Barrel
The 24-inch threaded barrel is specifically chosen to maximize the ballistic potential of the 7 PRC. The longer barrel length allows the cartridge to achieve higher muzzle velocities, resulting in a flatter trajectory and increased energy at extended ranges. The Bronze/Grey finish provides excellent corrosion resistance and a modern, tactical appearance. This barrel length is ideal for hunters who demand maximum performance from the 7 PRC in open country or mountainous terrain.
Speed HD Composite Stock with Bronze Camo
The Speed HD model features a lightweight, textured composite stock designed for fast handling and all-weather performance. This model comes with an attractive Bronze Camo pattern that provides excellent concealment in a variety of hunting environments. The stock is engineered to reduce overall weight while maintaining strength and durability. Textured grip areas ensure a secure hold in wet, cold, or gloved conditions, and the overall design promotes quick shouldering and target acquisition.
X-Bolt 2 Platform Advantages
The X-Bolt 2 platform includes several meaningful upgrades over previous generations, including a smoother bolt throw, an improved Feather Trigger, and enhanced ergonomics. The rifle also features a detachable rotary magazine for fast reloading and a bolt unlock button for safe unloading. These refinements make the X-Bolt 2 Speed HD both faster and more comfortable to shoot than many competing rifles in its class, especially during high-adrenaline hunting situations.
