The Christensen Arms Mesa FFT Mossy Oak Shadow Branch 7mm Backcountry 16" Bolt Action Rifle 8010136800 (UPC 840290541360) is a premium, ultra-lightweight hunting rifle engineered for hunters who demand maximum maneuverability and concealment in low-light and heavily wooded environments. Featuring Christensen Arms’ advanced Flash Forged Technology carbon fiber stock finished in the highly effective Mossy Oak Shadow Branch camouflage pattern, this model is chambered in the powerful 7mm Backcountry cartridge with a compact 16-inch barrel. Designed specifically for treestand hunters and those who pursue game in dense timber where quick handling is essential, the Mesa FFT delivers exceptional accuracy and reduced weight without sacrificing ballistic performance. The short barrel and lightweight construction make this rifle exceptionally easy to maneuver in tight spaces, while the Shadow Branch camouflage provides superior concealment during the critical low-light hours when many big game animals are most active.

Christensen Arms continues to lead the industry in lightweight rifle innovation. The Mesa FFT series utilizes proprietary Flash Forged Technology to create some of the lightest production hunting rifles available while maintaining the strength and rigidity required for consistent long-range precision.

Flash Forged Technology (FFT) Carbon Fiber Stock

The Mesa FFT is built around Christensen Arms’ revolutionary Flash Forged Technology carbon fiber stock. This advanced manufacturing process produces a stock that is dramatically lighter than traditional composite or wood stocks while offering superior strength and stability. The FFT stock significantly reduces the overall weight of the rifle, making it ideal for hunters who need to climb into treestands or navigate thick brush. Despite its light weight, the stock maintains exceptional rigidity, helping deliver consistent, repeatable accuracy even when chambered in the powerful 7mm Backcountry cartridge.

Mossy Oak Shadow Branch Camouflage Pattern

This model features the highly effective Mossy Oak Shadow Branch camouflage pattern. Specifically designed for low-light conditions and heavily shaded timber, Shadow Branch uses darker tones and realistic branch and shadow elements to provide superior concealment during dawn, dusk, and in dense forest environments. Unlike brighter patterns, Mossy Oak Shadow Branch excels in the low-light conditions where many big game animals are most active, helping hunters remain undetected in treestands and thick cover.

7mm Backcountry Cartridge with 16-Inch Barrel

Chambered in Christensen Arms’ innovative 7mm Backcountry cartridge, this Mesa FFT offers impressive velocity and flat-shooting performance in a highly compact package. The 7mm Backcountry was developed to deliver excellent long-range ballistics with reduced recoil compared to traditional magnum cartridges. The short 16-inch barrel makes this rifle exceptionally maneuverable in treestands and thick timber while still providing strong ballistic performance. The threaded muzzle allows for easy installation of a suppressor or muzzle brake, further enhancing shooter comfort and reducing noise during early morning or late evening hunts.

Ultra-Lightweight and Highly Maneuverable Design

One of the biggest advantages of the Christensen Arms Mesa FFT is its remarkably low weight. The combination of the Flash Forged Technology carbon fiber stock and the short 16-inch barrel results in a rifle that is significantly lighter and more maneuverable than traditional bolt-action rifles. This makes it an outstanding choice for hunters who need to quickly shoulder their rifle in tight treestand spaces or navigate dense woods without carrying excessive weight.
