The COMSTOCK MUZZLE BRAKE COMPACT 1/2-28 .22 CAL is a high-performance, low-profile muzzle device designed to reduce recoil and muzzle rise on .22 caliber and .223/5.56 platforms. Featuring a compact design and 1/2-28 threading, this model (MBC-12-22) delivers effective recoil mitigation while adding minimal length to your firearm. Manufactured by Comstock Armory, this muzzle brake is an excellent choice for shooters looking for a lightweight, efficient solution on AR-15s, precision rifles, and other 1/2-28 threaded barrels.
Why Choose the Comstock Compact Muzzle Brake?
Many shooters prefer a compact muzzle brake that provides noticeable recoil reduction without significantly increasing the overall length of the rifle. The Comstock MBC-12-22 excels in this area by combining a short, efficient design with effective gas redirection. Its 1/2-28 threading makes it compatible with a wide range of popular firearms, including AR-15s chambered in .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO. The compact size makes it ideal for builds where maneuverability is important, such as home defense rifles, competition guns, or lightweight hunting rifles. Despite its small footprint, this muzzle brake effectively reduces felt recoil and helps keep the muzzle flat during rapid fire.

Performance and Build Quality
The COMSTOCK MUZZLE BRAKE COMPACT 1/2-28 .22 CAL is precision machined from high-quality steel to deliver reliable performance. The compact design features strategically placed ports that redirect expanding gases to counteract recoil and muzzle rise, helping shooters maintain better control during rapid strings of fire. Despite its small size, the brake provides noticeable improvement in shootability, especially on lightweight rifles. The 1/2-28 threading ensures a secure fit on compatible barrels, and the durable finish protects against rust and wear. This muzzle brake is well-suited for both recreational shooters and those who demand consistent performance in competition or defensive scenarios. Its low-profile design also makes it a great option for builds where a larger brake would be impractical or aesthetically undesirable.
