The Nichols Lures Swim Jig Purple Haze 3/8 oz is a premium swim jig designed for serious bass anglers who need a heavier, more versatile option. Featuring the proven Purple Haze color pattern and weighing 3/8 ounce, this swim jig delivers excellent casting distance, deeper water capability, and a natural swimming action that consistently triggers strikes from largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass.
Why Choose the Nichols Lures Swim Jig Purple Haze 3/8 oz?
Nichols Lures has earned a strong reputation among tournament and recreational bass fishermen for producing high-quality swim jigs that deliver consistent results. The SJPH-38 Purple Haze model offers the added weight of 3/8 ounce, giving anglers the ability to cast farther, reach deeper grass lines and structure, and maintain better control in windy conditions. The Purple Haze color pattern provides a subtle yet effective dark purple hue with flash that excels in clear to lightly stained water and during low-light periods. Whether you’re targeting bigger bass in deeper water, fishing around heavy vegetation, or dealing with wind, the Nichols Lures Swim Jig Purple Haze 3/8 oz delivers the realism, durability, and performance needed to get more bites.

Performance and Effectiveness
The Nichols Lures Swim Jig Purple Haze 3/8 oz is particularly effective when fishing in clear to moderately stained water where the Purple Haze color provides the right amount of contrast and flash. The additional weight compared to the 1/4 oz version allows anglers to cast farther and reach deeper grass lines, ledges, and structure more effectively. This makes it an outstanding choice when targeting bigger bass that often hold in deeper water or when fishing in windy conditions. The quality weed guard helps the jig move through vegetation with minimal hang-ups while still maintaining an upright swimming posture that bass find irresistible. Pairing this swim jig with a matching swimbait trailer or craw trailer adds extra action and bulk, increasing its effectiveness. The 3/8 oz size offers the perfect combination of castability, depth control, and profile for serious bass fishing situations.
