Model PF51CH36512 is chambered in .36 caliber and features a 5.5-inch blued barrel paired with a striking case-hardened frame. This six-shot percussion revolver offers the perfect balance of traditional styling and practical handling, making it an excellent choice for historical enthusiasts, blackpowder shooters, and collectors who prefer a more compact version of the iconic 1851 Navy.

Compact 1851 Navy Sheriff Design

The “Sheriff” or “Snub Nose” variant of the 1851 Navy was originally developed as a more concealable and maneuverable version of the full-size Navy revolver. Pietta has faithfully reproduced this compact model with excellent attention to historical detail. The shorter 5.5-inch barrel reduces overall length and weight while maintaining the distinctive octagonal barrel profile and elegant lines of the original 1851 Navy. The case-hardened frame adds both strength and a beautiful, multi-colored finish that is highly prized by collectors and period-correct reenactors.
