Key Features of the Proof Research 152133 PR15

Why Choose the Proof Research PR15 .223 Wylde Rifle?

Proof Research is widely regarded as one of the premier manufacturers of carbon fiber barrels in the firearms industry. The 152133 PR15 model showcases their advanced carbon fiber barrel technology, which significantly reduces weight while improving heat dissipation and maintaining exceptional rigidity. The .223 Wylde chamber is a favorite among precision shooters because it offers the best of both worlds — it safely and accurately shoots both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition while providing superior accuracy with heavier match bullets.

The 18-inch barrel length paired with a 1:8 twist rate makes this rifle highly versatile. It stabilizes heavy 77-grain and 80-grain bullets effectively, making it ideal for long-range target shooting and competition, while still performing well with lighter 55-grain and 62-grain loads for general use. The carbon fiber wrap not only reduces overall rifle weight but also helps maintain barrel temperature during extended shooting sessions.
