Advanced Carbon Fiber Barrel Technology

At the core of the Elevation 2.0 MTR is Proof Research’s signature carbon fiber wrapped barrel. This 16.5-inch barrel features a precision-rifled stainless steel core surrounded by a high-strength carbon fiber sleeve. The result is a barrel that is dramatically lighter than traditional steel barrels while maintaining superior rigidity, accuracy, and heat dissipation. The carbon fiber construction allows the barrel to cool faster between shots, helping maintain consistent point-of-impact during extended range sessions. This technology gives the Elevation 2.0 MTR a significant advantage in maneuverability without sacrificing the precision that Proof Research is known for.

Optimized for the 7mm Backcountry Cartridge

The Elevation 2.0 MTR is chambered in the innovative 7mm Backcountry cartridge. This modern, high-performance round offers excellent ballistic coefficients, flat trajectories, and impressive terminal performance in a compact package. The 16.5-inch carbon fiber barrel is perfectly matched to the 7mm Backcountry, delivering impressive velocity while keeping overall rifle length and weight to a minimum. This makes the rifle highly effective for both long-range precision shooting and backcountry hunting where every ounce matters.
