Advanced Carbon Fiber Barrel Technology

At the heart of the Elevation MTR is Proof Research’s signature carbon fiber wrapped barrel. This 20-inch barrel features a precision-rifled stainless steel core surrounded by a high-strength carbon fiber sleeve. The result is a barrel that is dramatically lighter than traditional steel barrels while maintaining superior rigidity, accuracy, and heat dissipation. The carbon fiber construction allows the barrel to cool faster between shots, helping maintain consistent point-of-impact during extended range sessions. This technology gives the Elevation MTR a significant advantage in maneuverability without sacrificing the precision that Proof Research is known for.

Optimized for the 7mm PRC Cartridge

The Elevation MTR is chambered in 7mm PRC, a modern long-range cartridge that offers excellent ballistic performance, high energy retention, and flat trajectories. The 20-inch carbon fiber barrel is perfectly matched to the 7mm PRC, maximizing velocity while keeping the overall rifle weight low. This combination provides outstanding long-range capability with manageable recoil, making it an excellent choice for hunters pursuing medium to large game at extended distances as well as precision rifle competitors.
