Proven Diving Performance and Action

The Rapala Dives-To 12 is designed with a precisely weighted body and a unique lip that allows it to dive quickly and stay at the desired depth throughout the retrieve. Unlike many crankbaits that lose depth on a slow retrieve, the DT12 maintains its diving plane, giving anglers precise control over where the lure swims. The tight, high-frequency wobble creates flash and vibration that closely mimics an injured or fleeing baitfish, making it extremely effective when bass are feeding on shad, bluegill, or other forage.

Technical Specifications

Why Choose the Rapala Dives-To 12 Demon?

The Rapala Dives-To series has earned a reputation as one of the most reliable and consistent diving crankbaits on the market. The DT12 stands out because of its ability to reach and maintain a specific depth, which is critical when fishing deeper structure, ledges, or drop-offs. The Demon color pattern is particularly effective because it combines dark and bright elements that create strong contrast, allowing bass to see the lure from a distance in both clear and stained water. Rapala’s attention to detail in the lip design and weight distribution ensures that every cast performs the same, giving anglers confidence in their presentation.

Ideal Applications

The Rapala Dives-To 12 Demon is highly effective for targeting bass holding on deeper structure such as rock piles, ledges, channel swings, and submerged timber. It excels during the summer and fall months when bass move to deeper water. The 2.25-inch size makes it versatile enough to use in both open water and around moderate cover. Anglers often use the DT12 when fishing main lake points, creek channels, and offshore humps. It can be fished with a steady retrieve, stop-and-go action, or by deflecting it off cover to trigger reaction strikes. The Demon color is especially productive in lakes with shad populations.

Performance and Durability

The Dives-To 12 is built with a tough, impact-resistant plastic body that can handle repeated contact with rocks, wood, and other cover without breaking. The premium VMC treble hooks are sharp out of the package and provide excellent hook-up ratios. The lure’s tight wobble creates a realistic swimming action that closely imitates a fleeing baitfish, while the internal weight system helps it dive quickly and stay on plane. Whether you’re fishing tournaments or recreational outings, the Rapala Dives-To 12 Demon delivers consistent performance cast after cast.
