The Rock Island Armory VRF-14 Long 12 Gauge Semi-Automatic Shotgun (Model VRF-14L) is a modern, magazine-fed tactical shotgun designed for home defense, tactical applications, and general range use. Featuring a 20-inch barrel and a 5-round detachable box magazine, the VRF-14 Long offers fast reloading and reliable cycling in a compact, maneuverable package. Built with a durable black finish and a robust semi-automatic action, this shotgun delivers the performance and capacity that shooters expect from Rock Island Armory’s growing line of tactical firearms.
Modern Magazine-Fed Design
The VRF-14 Long stands out from traditional tube-fed shotguns thanks to its detachable 5-round box magazine. This design allows for significantly faster reloads compared to traditional pump or semi-auto shotguns with tubular magazines. The box magazine system makes the VRF-14 Long particularly well-suited for tactical training, home defense, and competitive shooting where rapid reloading is essential. The 20-inch barrel provides a good balance between maneuverability and effective shot patterns, making it easy to handle in confined spaces while still delivering solid performance at typical defensive distances.
The semi-automatic action of the VRF-14 Long provides smooth and reliable cycling with a wide range of 12-gauge ammunition. Whether using standard target loads or defensive buckshot, the VRF-14 Long is engineered to function consistently shot after shot.
