To give you a better optic, Shield Sights eliminated the battery drawer found on the original RMS, which allowed them to craft a stronger aluminum housing and incorporate improved electronics for a better sight picture. In addition, the low-profile design of the RMS2 is perfectly suited for use on today's compact defensive pistols, and the company's matching MOS plate allows the optic to sit low enough to co-witness with traditional-height iron sights.

Even with this strengthened design, the Shield Sights RMS2 weighs only 0.61 ounces. Powered by a single CR2032 battery, the sight has a run time between 2-3 years continuously, depending on the setting selected.
