Trijicon VCOG 1-8x28 Red MRAD Circle FDE Riflescope

The Trijicon VCOG 1-8x28 Red MRAD Circle FDE (Model 2400025) is a battle-proven, variable power riflescope designed for professionals who demand uncompromising performance in the harshest environments. As part of Trijicon’s renowned Variable Combat Optical Gunsight (VCOG) line, this 1-8x28 scope combines a versatile magnification range with a first focal plane illuminated MRAD reticle, making it an ideal optic for tactical operators, competitive shooters, and serious hunters.

Featuring a rugged forged aluminum housing finished in Flat Dark Earth (FDE), the VCOG 1-8x28 is built to military standards and is virtually indestructible. Its signature battery-free illumination system uses both fiber optics and tritium to automatically adjust reticle brightness based on ambient light conditions, ensuring a clear aiming point in any lighting environment without the need for batteries. The Red MRAD Circle reticle provides fast target acquisition at low power while offering precise holdovers and ranging capabilities at higher magnifications.

Why Choose the Trijicon VCOG 1-8x28 Red MRAD FDE?

The Trijicon VCOG 1-8x28 is widely regarded as one of the most durable and reliable variable power optics available. Unlike many modern scopes that rely on batteries for illumination, the VCOG’s fiber optic and tritium system ensures the reticle remains visible at all times — a critical advantage in combat or survival situations. The first focal plane MRAD reticle allows shooters to make accurate holdovers and wind calls regardless of magnification setting, making it highly effective for both close-quarters and long-range engagements.

The Flat Dark Earth finish makes this model especially popular among shooters building modern tactical rifles who want their optic to match the rest of their FDE-colored setup. Whether you’re a law enforcement professional, military operator, competitive 3-Gun shooter, or a serious hunter, the Trijicon VCOG 1-8x28 Red MRAD Circle FDE delivers the optical clarity, ruggedness, and reliability that Trijicon is famous for. Its combination of true 1x performance, powerful 8x magnification, and battle-tested construction makes it one of the most versatile optics on the market today.
